Coupe/350Z Brembo's fit sedan

I have recently tried this swap and I can say it looks great and fits perfect. I mounted a factory set of front and rear Brembo's on my sedan with the factory 17" Aero rims. The only mods are some small trimming to the rear dust shield and a 15mm spacer on the front. Other than that they bolt right in and look factory. I don't think too many people know about this mod. Please PM for pics or if someone wants to host let me know.

You can find low mileage Brembo's for around $2200-2500..including all 4 calipers, rotors, pads, shields, and hardware. There are 2 sets for sale in this classified section of this site. Cheers.

Ah the beauty of platform engineering, their's only a tiny fraction of parts among the G's and Z's that isn't swappable.

Too bad about having to run the 15mm spacer in the front, a 30mm front offset would kill running wider tires, besides the fact that their only 7" wide rims. But it would be rare to see someone not upgrade their rims too and get around that.

Re: Coupe/350Z Brembo's fit sedan

I have run a +37 offset/8.5" rim with a 245 on the front with no problem. You should be able to get away with a +45 and an 8" wide rim and still be O.K.

I know we've already seen them before but how about some pics? =P

For around $2000, getting the Brembos for all 4 corners is not a bad deal at all. But personally for around $1700 I would just get myself a new Stoptech 13" front kit and upgrade the rear rotors to Stoptech OEM replacments. A very good majority of the braking is done in front anyways.

Re: Coupe/350Z Brembo's fit sedan

Yes you can run a 8" wide rim with 45mm offset in the front, but were talking about adding on oem brembo's, oem offset is 45mm, adding in the 15mm spacer you had to use makes the effective offset 30mm, which will cap your ability to run wider tires. In fairness it's not going to matter to some people here that are chasing the look of wider rears, but some of us that actually want to improve the performance of the car want the most tire width we can stuff, without limitations. I would hunt for a aftermarket rim that is thinner in the hub/spoke area before I'd cave on a low offset solution.

I seem to recall a sedan owner here running 38mm offset on 8.5" with 245's reporting rubbing problems on the fender. I would hope they do clear, as eventually I plan to run 265's all the way around, proper rim widths be damned.

Re: Coupe/350Z Brembo's fit sedan

I ran a +37 offset on an 8.5" rim on the front with a 245/40/zr18. I ran a +55 offset on a 9.5" rim on the back with a 275/35/zr18. No rubbing problems at all. There is a massive amount of offset room on the sedans that you can play with...especially in the rear.
