Clutch ticking noise

When I engage the clutch, sometimes it makes a ticking sound, and it keeps on for the next few times when the clutch is engaged. What would've caused it?

I had an old 85 SVO mustang that did this, and it was the throw out bearing.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought, you can feel the click from the paddle as well when it happens. How much am I looking for the repair?

Did a bit research and someone said that the clutch master cylinder might have caused the clutch clicking. Could anyone confirm that? If so, would it damaged the trans if it's not fixed soon? Any input would be appreciated.
