Need some help

Hey all,
I am having a problem and I am not sure if it is related to my Vortec or not. Thought I would ask the experts here. This may or may not be related but yesterday I installed some subs to go with an amp ( 200W) I installed a while back. I then installed a switch to enable my NAV address functionality while I am driving. I placed the switch in the center console and I noticed the sound of the radio fluctuated as I was pulling the wires through. Like I said I have had this amp in my car for quite a while with an old sub box and have never had this happen before. Anyhow, I had the radio on for an hour or so while the car was off. When I tried to start the car the starter was turning over at a normal rate but the car would not fire up. So I stuck a battery charger on it over night. This morning I jumped in the car and it started right up. I figured the battery was just low from the radio. So I drove to work and at noon--car sat for 5 hours--when I was ready to head out to lunch the car didn't start again. hmm? Maybe the battery cell is drained or something? Don't think so because again the starter is turning over at a normal speed and the internal lights are not dimming or anything. So I had the car towed to infiniti Cerritos and let them have a crack at it. I got a call tonight and the guy said at first he could not get the car to start but after some hours of "cooling" off it started right up. He then asked me how long I had my Vortech on and gave me the, "if its the mod that is causing the prob then you have to pay" bit. I said I understood but I am really just confused as to what it could possibly be? Seems like heat(SoCal summer) may be causing some sort of problem? Not really sure. If anyone has some ideas I would appreciate it
