Opinions sought on my mods
I already have the Z tube. I'm keeping the stock airbox and filter and don't really see a need to change that out.
I'm not going FI for various reasons. I'm thinking of doing the following to my 2004 6MT.
Keeping the stock exhaust from behind the Y pipe - I like the sound and am not convinced a rear muffler change is much more than a sound change.
Will install the Fujit style Y pipe and live with the transition difference.
Crawford cats
Plenum - waiting on the APS to debut, not interested in the baggage of Crawford and Kinetix.
Crawford headers - are they really worth the money?
Then TS ECU.
That's about it. I'm not expecting huge gains by any means, just increased throttle response and an ability to breathe better up top. The car feels slightly flatter up top than down low and mid range. I'm presuming due to hardware constraints and tuning.

Re: Opinions sought on my mods
Sounds good. I know you'd gain between 20 and 30 bhp with that set up. The big "factor" would be the ECU reflash. I'd strongly recommend doing a before and after dyno run with the O2 sensor in the passenger side cat for quazi-accurate a/f readings. The dyno with all of the mods pre-ecu reflash is really important so that you can show TS what your a/f curves look like with your mods. That would allow them to "attempt" to set up your ideal reflash and then you could re-dyno to see if they got you where you want to be. If not, it's back to TS for the last reflash...

Re: Opinions sought on my mods
The flash is the only thing I look forward to but at the same time don't. fedexing my ECU across the country is going to be a juggling act. I'll have to leave my car at work or something, take out the ECU, rent a car, tell the wife the car is getting worked on (not really a fib is it?) and reinstall the ECU in when it returns.
Re: Opinions sought on my mods
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm waiting just a little longer before I do any more mods. I suppose the TS ECU would increase power and top end speed but I agree it's a PITA, not to mention your Infininti service dept will know you did it. For a few reasons (none of which are for more power...no, of course not :-), I let my Infiniti service advisor know that I'm in line for an '05 ECU flash when the '05s come out. Because of my MM issues, my Infiniti service mgr agreed that an '05 ECU flash might improve my MM shifting delay and ensure it actually upshifts into the selected gear when I shift (and maybe will increase HP as well as indicated by the '05 Sedan's 277 HP rating). So, hopefully I'll find out in a month or two when the '05s are out.
Also, I agree on waiting for the APS plenum. Although the Crawford and Kinetix plenums have been proven, they still seem a bit risky, imo (and I don't like the idea of "trading in" my plenum for a modified one...just doesn't sit right with me. The computer precision-made APS replacement plenum for the G35 sounds like a better, safer mod to me.
