it sounds like it maybe going into limp mode for some reason.
Are you still under warranty?

sounds like a maf or tb issue......if ur slip/vdc lights go off and there is no throttle response then def a tb. and a maf will not always throw a code and still have a no throttle/super slow throttle response

If only the SLIP light was coming on then your VDC was activating for some reason... or TB took a dump

Have you installed any headers lately? It might be the g sensor. It might have to be reset. I had almost the same problem after a header install, due to removing the steering shaft from the rack and pinion. Is your VDC system or ABS system kicking in when this happens?

the car is not under warranty, and i have not installed anything on the car, is completely stock. can some one specify what is a ""tb" ..thank you. and the car then accelerates extremely slow...almost nothing.

MAF = Mass Air Flow sensor
TB = Throttle body

just thought i'd ask.. are you attempting to floor it when this happens? are your rear tires bald? they could actually just be slipping due to no traction and the car is cutting power

Have you tried running a CEL scanner to see if it's throwing any codes? (Check Engine Light)

tires are fine, brand new.. it does say engine service soon. but the thing is that i did a major service like 3 months ago. i try to floor it so the car starts moving but nothing even i i push it slightly the revs wont go up... (today i let turned on the car and let it warm up for a while then took it arround the block..and i caused me no problem,..i did not go over 3000 rpm's.. and floored it just a little bit..but it did not cause any problems.. very weird

also how bad is the tb..is that repairable? does it cost a lot...and what about the other?

You need to get the CEL (check engine light) codes read. That will tell us much more in what your problem is. Its very likely your throttle body going bad and causing it to go into limp mode.

You can find a used TB for $75-80 buck in the marketplace.

You can find a remanufactured TB for $90-100 bucks online.
