do the later vq35de's fit into the 03-04?
 

I need to replace my motor and found a vq out of an 06 350Z. how hard would it be to swap out? can it be done? How about a vq out of a nissan?
Please help!!!

same motor. dont know if the 06 will fit the 03-04 transmission though.

Yeah they're the same motor, will fit just fine. The only problem you will run into is if you buy a rev-up motor, then I'm sure it won't work.

Trans is the same since it's the same block.

If it is a rev-up then all you'd have to do is also replace your main engine harness and ECU. If the car it came from is 05-06 350Z Manual, 05-07 G35 Manual It's a rev-up It's the trans is auto on any of those, your good to go :)

I got an 03 -04 non revup. I found on on ebay for 900. I dont know what is gone in mine yet but I dont think it is so bad I will not be able build it up the way I want.
