Question, need help from the pros.

I have a 2005 G35 Coupe that came with the tire package. I recently ordered a fast intentions fiber glass cat back exhaust polished, stillen headers, and Fast Intentions resonator pipes. I also ordered a Vortech V3.

I went to the track few months back and I saw a guy who put a vortech in his 350Z and as soon as he gunned it, he lost control and almost burried the car into the side wall because of the posi traction. I don't know much about this but my question is:

Am I going to have the same problem or because my car is the 2005 with the tire pckage and a slip button under the steering wheel, am I exmept from this issue? Do I need to get a posi unit to control this or is our car different? Thanks!

That is because of driver error. He didn't know how to handle the power he had. If you have the 6MT you should have a VLSD which should help with traction. Additionally, you can play around with the VDC on until you get the feel and then turn the traction control off and get better practice controlling the vehicle.

Driver MOD = super important.

That is true

That very well may be. I think his vehcile was a stick. Mine is an automatic. I do have VLSD but I heard that it's not enough to overcome the inital slippage. Although I havent tried I would just hate to come home after a year of desert to find my car unready to drive due to the posi traction thing. Hmmmm

A RaceLogic traction control unit, top link, would take care of wheel slippage with a 5AT. For those with a stick the full throttle shift unit, bottom link,is an add-on.

Negative

Its a Fast Intentions resonator pipe, Fast Intentions carbon fiber cat back exhaust polished ($1846), and stillen headers ($586). It's actually all discounted believe it or not lol.

lol

The tips are polished and the mufflers themselves are carbon fiber. I was confused at first too lol.

The crawfords do look nice but this is the set up the guys from Fast Intentions recommended as far as headers so I went with their suggestion and ordered it last week. I can’t afford an additonal 450 right now anyways lol. I didn’t take allot into consideration when figuring the totals out such as installation, headers, Posi Traction unit, etc. This stuff ads up quick. I wonder what I’ll be making though with all these additions (exhaust and vortech V3 on a 5AT). Only the Dyno will tell.

!

Actually I just called Stillen and theres a delay, headers are on back order. I just bid on the headers you posted. Thanks a bunch dude. You might have just saved me some money! Where in South Florida? Im looking into bidding on a house right now, (hence the $ issue) for when I get back from Afghanistan, in Naples.
