What does this plug go to. It's unplugged

After my motor install I found this plug just hanging in the back of the intake.
Don't see anything unplugged.

looks like one the connector for an o2 sensor, but that color is throwing me off :dunno:

what is the other end of the cable connected to?

jwrape Mar 31, 2010 10:51 AM

Nah, the O2 sensors are totally different connector mounted up on top of the valve covers that have security connectors that have a latch. I made sure to connect those.

This can go to either side of the back of the motor and is connected to the Fuel Injector harness.

u got me then. it looked like one of the latch connectors :(

IIRC from your other thread (which was impressive, btw), you kept all of your fuel stuff and harnesses from your old engine. have you thrown any codes? if you get under you car do u see any wires hanging?

Thanks
Nope no codes yet.

Could it be for the knock sensor

Granted the wiring is not in the correct position there

I thought about that but i remember plugging that up specifically. Because I had to remove it from the old motor and sand a good contact where it sat cause it had a little tarnish look to it. Gotta be something else, but what else is there?

If you are sure its on the injector harness not much.

But it's not the Knock sensor. That's a black plug that's a tad bit smaller .... It's on the same harness though.

jwrape Mar 31, 2010 11:31 AM

Eww wait, what does the Knock Sensor harness plug into on the car? I suppose that could be the far end of the knock sensor harness. Not the part that plugs into the sensor but the other end that connects to the car.... Where does that plug in, anyone know?

The picture i posted shows the knock sensor installed and the harness disconnected and it has a blue plug just like the one you showed just have to find the corresponding plug back there. Most plugs on this car are different so no way to mix them up so find a empty connector

That's been my issue so far. Can't find another empty plug to plug into. I thought someone might know where it is in proximity.

the pic i've attached shows the valley under the intake manifold. i have a non-revup, but perhaps that connector is in the same place on revups.
