Water decarbonization

Has anyone tried this? It is supposed to be much better than products like Seafoam. I am hesitant, but considering using a spray bottle to mist water through the throttle body. I have read on BITOG of people slowing putting 1/2 gallon of distilled water through the brake booster line. From what I understand the engine needs to be hot (ran for about 15 minutes) and the rev's up around 3k. Any thoughts?

use a methanol/water injection kit. You'll clean it all out REAALLY nicely

Carbon build up on valves and heads is usually more of a problem on stationary, single speed motors like those on a generator. In those cases a water/meth injection is beneficial to keep them clean. Carbon is usually not that big an issue with an auto engine. However, it doesn't hurt to give it a bit of cleaning now and then. My only concern would be contamination of the oil and "wash down" of the cylinder walls if it's done to excess.

Using a bottle with an atomizer of some sort and using the cars vacuum to suck it in (very slowly) should be OK. Just don't go over board.

Thanks for the input. If I decide to do it I would do it, run the car for 10 minutes or so and change the oil.

Cool Water injection

I have ran the water injection on last 4 cars. Made a home made one using a 12V liquid pump submerged in a 64oz laundry botttle, i plug it2 cigaret lighter and throw the switch, do this driving. The trick is to get the right flow with the pump you choose and not to overheat the engine, this might take some time. Now you have to make a nozzle mounted in front of the butterfly about one inch on the top side. My best soloution was to use a very small copper pipe and vise grips to shape it and it night change next week as it will corrode a bit. Adjust it every time B4 use. When it's right U should get a tiny stream which would take about 30 min to flow full 1/2 gallon, if U run more than 5 min at a blast U will overheat the engine and wipe the oil.
Good luck
