What is this missing piece called and is it important?

So I bought a JWT popcharger off a guy that is on these forums but found him off craigslist. He took my stock airbox and installed the pop charger for me.

He took this piece as well and I didn't notice until it was too late. What's this piece called if I wanted to get a replacement one?

Also is it important that I get this piece for air to flow more directly into my filter? Or can I leave it as is?

Thanks!

the piece you're missing used to be the air filter housing & power duct. i've never had a popcharger so I don't know if JWT makes a sleeve to connect to the air duct. you can either leave it like it is, or rig up a tube to the air duct if the seller didn't include one.

^ Haha. No really though, you're just missing a rubber flap - there's a name but I can't remember what it is, they come with the Pop-Charger heatshield though. One goes on the intake box and one goes on the heatshield.

Half of it. There's another piece that goes on the factory air scoop. Looks the same as the one on the heatshield in that picture.

Yea, try to make something custom from Home Depot or something. To be honest, the only thing it does is direct air flow from the air scoop in the front to the air filter. It's supposed to help separate the air scoop's cool air flow from the warm engine heat also, to prevent heat soak into the intake. Will it really make a difference? Probably not.

It's not that big of a deal really. Back when I was NA, I had the JWT popcharger and I could never get that little piece to fit right so I just left it off. But like others have already said, just go to Home Depot and make yourself a better one.
