How much power will I have?

The car comes with 280 horse power:

2005 Red on Wheat (NON-Sport model on order)
Performance Tire & Wheel Package (18” Tires with 18” 7 spoke rims)
Sunroof
Splashguards
XM Radio
Trunk Mat

So if I add these aftermarket upgrades, where will that put my horse power?

1 K&N Filter
Z-Tube
Borla Exhaust
Stillen Grounding kit

You will probably see about 5hp gain with those mods.

Yes, as far as I know the 'standard non-sport' A/T comes with 280Hp.

Re: How much power will I have?

Kahboom, except for the exhaust, your set up is very similar to what I am doing.
Have you dyno'd yours?

Re: How much power will I have?

Even with those mods, I think people were finding very minimal gains on the dyno/

Re: How much power will I have?

JoeyG35, you think only 5 extra hp?
Seems a little low for the amount of modification.

Re: How much power will I have?

it has been shown over and over that the best bang for the buck mods are:

high flow cats/test pipes
y-pipe
intake plenum
lightweight flywheel/clutch/pulley

I've done those and then some and I'm around 245 to the wheels (baseline = 218whp) - haven't dynoed since I've added the headers though, so hopefully I'll crack 250 ;-)

2003.5 BS coupe 5AT
Clear Corners, Alum. Pedals, Pro-1 Intake, Resonated Test Pipes, UR Pulley, CF Engine Cover, GReddy EVO II, Kinetix Plenum, Hotchkis Sways, Pro-1 Headers

Re: How much power will I have?

I would go with Injen Intake if you want one dirt cheap brand new let me know. Next is test pipes.
Grounding kit honestly does NOTHING! remeber if you do air fuel modding you need your ECU flashed. (intake, exhaust, headers, plenum)
you can do without but it wont be running how it should be

Re: How much power will I have?

One goes to technosquare in Torrance, CA .... or parks their car for a couple of days and removes their ECU to ship it. $595 coupe - $495 sedan

Coupes cost more cuz anybody that would buy a car missing two doors wouldn't notice the extra $100 on the invoice.
(relax guys, you know I'm kidding...or am I?)

http://www.technosquareinc.com/g35.htm

Don't waste your money by reflashing the ECU before you've done up your plenum, cats/pipes and exhaust. Every time you make a major addition, you will need to reflash the ECU ($150)

I did mine after stillen intake, z-duct, crawford v5 plenum, crawford cats, stillen exhaust, UR crank pulley and GROUNDING GEAR! . . . 5AT's will feel the wires...hush up AJ!

Cheers, ted
