vq35de swap questions help. . .

Hey I came across a problem. I was gonna swap out my motor from my 07 g35 coupe to my 03 350z. . Its the same exact motor but someone told me that the sensors are different because of the newer year and so and i wont be able to reuse the wires from the 350z that all the wiring has to be swapped from the G to the Z but i think thats bull**** so if someone knows please let me know.

why would you swap a 03 motor into your 07 g35?

you will have issues with the engine harness. 05-07 6MT's have exhaust timing on the cams so they will have more sensors, and your older 350Z wont have the connections for them. Now If the the 07 engine came out of an automatic, it wont matter because all auto G/Z's came with the 280hp engines, same as the 03-05 Z 6mt and 03-04 6mt G's. The swap would work you just wouldn't be able to use the exhaust timing for full functionality.

If the 2007 is from an auto COUPE then it will work.
