changing a radiator

I have an 03 sedan and Im replacing the radiator, from looking around it looks as if the coupe and sedan have the same radiator?

Would it be easier to replace the radiator if I took the front bumper off? Or would that just be more waste of a time than a benefit?

on a scale of 1-10 whats the diff rating? 10 being the hardest.

After the install I would have to do this correct?

#1) different radiator than the coupe, especially if you have a 5AT cuz then it has a trans cooler as well

#2)No need to remove bumper. Remove splash shield under the engine though. And the fans/shroud.

#3)You will need to burp the coolant. Do some searching on driver. Its been explained many times. Do it right or you will overheat.

i recently had my whole front end redone due to an accident. ever since i got my car back its been running hot. itll run all the way to the H but never over. i remember them saying they had to send a radiator back because it was the wrong one. that brings up a concern with me now because i think that its the reason why its running hot.

Vehicle Level Engine, Cooling and Exhaust Cooling System Radiator Service and Repair Removal and Installation

Removal and Installation


RADIATOR

WARNING: Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high pressure coolant escaping from the radiator.

REMOVAL


Remove undercover using power tool.
Drain coolant from the radiator.
CAUTION: Per form when the engine is cold.

Remove air duct and air cleaner case.
Disconnect A/T oil cooler hoses.
Install blind plug to avoid leakage of A/T fluid.
Disconnect radiator upper and lower hoses.
Remove the lower radiator shroud. While pressing left and right pawls in direction indicated by arrows, pull lower radiator shroud toward you to remove.
Remove the radiator shroud.
Remove cooling fan.

Rotate two radiator upper mount brackets 90 degrees in the direction shown in the figure, and remove them.
Remove bracket mounting bolt for anchoring air conditioner piping from vehicle left side, so that air conditioner piping can be moved.

Remove two air conditioner condenser mounting bolts located in upper part of radiator.
Lift the air conditioner condenser up approximately 2 cm (0.79 inch) . Remove the radiator mounting brackets.

CAUTION: To avoid putting a load on the air conditioner piping, be careful not to lift too much.

Lift up and remove the radiator.
CAUTION: Do not damage or scratch air conditioner condenser and radiator core when removing.
After removing the radiator, fix the air conditioner condenser on the vehicle side with a rope or similar means.This is to prevent a load being applied to the air conditioner piping.

INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.

You should take it back to the shop that "FIXED" your car. It shouldn't move or get anywhere near the H line. In fact, you could have damaged the block at this point.

i couldn't pull the radiator up from the bay, I had to get it out from the bottom.. Same thing I had to install the radiator bottom up...

Another snag was it took me awhile to align everything back up properly.

I had some overheating issues again but it went away and I was told it was cause of air in the line.

yeah, the hard part is getting the clip of the radiator seperated from the AC condenser.

These cars are known to be hard to bleed air out. Just be careful to make sure you don't have any issues.
