I had 3 bad coils and replaced them all but when i went to replace cylinder 1s ignition coil it wouldnt tighten down, so i threaded it as much as possible by hand before it became loose to a righty tighty. All of my misfires were gone but i got new valve covers that i have not put in yet because ive been waiting for it to fail again just to confirm. I started misfiring again a few days ago, when i checked cylinder 1s ignition coil it was loose again and the bolt could basically get pulled out, before i fix the wrong thing i just want to confirm, i need to replace my valve cover so i can get a tighter connection on the coil, this should correct my misfire

Put the bolt into the VC without the coil in place, see if it's just the metal threaded insert in the VC that came loose and is spinning. If so try to pry the brass insert out then superglue it back into place.
If it's just stripped out you can either use a micro heli-coil. Or my preferred method just tap the hole out to a slightly larger size, I think it's a M6 bolt so you can tap it for 1/4-20 SAE thread which is just slightly larger. Then get a 1/4-20 bolt that's the correct length.
Just be sure to use a bottom tap not a tapered tap, and do it by hand with a T-handle don't chuck it to a drill.
I personally wouldn't be replacing a valve cover just to fix a damaged coil pack thread, there's ways to fix it.
