batt light on,steering failure??

as title of threat states..was turning a corner in 1st..heard a "pop" batt light came on and steering failed..any idea what caused this...this thread is for someone i know and is currently stranded on the road..quick response is appreciated..thanks

car is an 04MT..PSF levels are normal..ses light is not on

nm snapped serpentine belt!!..use for reference if needed!

that's what i was going to say. happened to my truck here a week or two ago...

Lol im sorry to hear that but if your car breaks the first thing you do is sign on to g35driver before getting out to look at the car

that is love i love this forum too

you might have also noticed your throttle response increase, and a slight increase in power

wasnt on my car..was on a friends 600miles away,she called me crying asking what it could be..at the time i had no idea from her description of what the car was doing
