Looking to cam the engine. Any suggestions??

Looking for some added power through the Cam world. Nothing with a crazy idle, something street drivable. Any suggestions, reviews, tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

cost vs benefit isn't very good. Even if you do the work yourself its not great. To make it of any value you would probably want to build the motor internals and bump the rev limit.

i think its like almost 20 hour labor to swap the cams and even a cheap set is a thousand bucks so. for that price i am pretty sure you could bargain hunt some boost. wait till you have to tear the motor apart to do the cams

seems like you wouldn't gain a lot of hp/tq from a N/A G

cams are pointless without headers... with headers you can expect in the range of 15-20 hp and approx 10 ft lb trq...

There is power to be gained - BUT the cost/benefit ratio is way out of whack... it's not nearly worth the expense unless you are a mod addict and don't care about the expense - or you are trying to determine something that hasn't been done and price must be paid for that (I've guinea pigged quite a few mods, including cams & headers on non-built na... no more though).

Anything less than $100 per hp is decent... there are very few mods that are far less than that... cams/headers are three times that and simply not worth it.
