sometimes when upshifting to 5th gear AFTER downshifting from 6th to 4th, the tranny won't let me upshift to 5th without forcing it over and up. i asked dealer serviceman about this and was told the tranny has a momentary electronic "lockout" of the gears based on monitored rpm, engine speed, etc.

anyone else ever experience this, and is this serviceman FOS or what?

i can't beleive that my manual shift is CONTROLLED by some friggin' sensors and a computer. I WANT A REAL MANUAL . i don't need help from the damn computer.
