so im trying to figure out this rattle noise at first start up when the car has sat for hours at a time. just put a new primary chain tensioner on and still the same thing. and im using 10w30 oil. still thinking the chain has a tad more slack then usual since i had the heads resurfaced. just a quick clatter noise for a split second then its gone (once oil pressure builds) so otherwise the car is running great, stayin loud, going through tires

What oil filter are you using???

 

thats exactly what mine sounds like. sometimes worse than other times, but goes away after a second or 2.

i started off with cheapazz 5w30 conventional oil with an oem 9E filter and just changed my oil last tuesday with 10w30 mobile conventional oil and another oem 9E filter....and i have around 1400 miles on the motor so far.
