I just went through this issue. I have an 04 with 70k miles. Basically I would stomp on the gas and it would rev but not go anywhere then the check engine light, slip and vdc came on. Basically did the engine reset thing with the key, watched the blinking lights. 10 flashes before a pause means 0. If it reads 0345 or 0340 then it's one of the cam sensors. I ended up with P0340 and swapped out the sensor (pretty easy and quick) and the power felt even alot better then right before the problems occurred.
