New APS Plenum

The new APS plenum was supposed to be released for sale this month. Anyone heard the status and who will be the distributors?

Check out the web site. It shows who is a dealer in the US and in each state. I've heard that the plenum is delayed by a couple of months.

Re: New APS Plenum

Yeah, I already checked some of their dealers in my area out and they said they were no longer carrying the APS product. Was just wondering when it would become available.

Thanks away...

BAD NEWS

I just talked to SGP in Houston who is a distributor for APS. They said the plenum won't come out until February of next year and will cost $395.

Looks like its Crawford or Kinetix time for me.

Re: New APS Plenum

Do yourself a favor and dyno before and after the plenum install. You may be surprised. You may want a refund.

Re: New APS Plenum

I had the Crawford and the K/N CAI and lost power after doing the dyno before and after. About 8 HP and 12 torque. I'm not saying dont install a plenum or intake, just make sure you dyno before you do anything. That way, if the parts dont make gains as advertised, or lose power, you have evidence to get a refund. I got a full refund from Crawford after the dyno showed a loss.

Re: New APS Plenum

karl,

i agree with you i lost power as well, and i am running the reflashed ecu with the crawford complete flash ans the ecu was sent twice to technosquare, and still no results, i lost a tenth of a second in the quarter mile. they say the automatic g35's have the ecu retard the motor in 3rd and 4rth gears. sucks bigtime if you ask me. but doug at crawford has been super nice about it, he hasnt charged me for the core and told me to check back and see if the can fix the other ecu problems.

Re: New APS Plenum

Silver,

I agree, Doug is a super guy. But his plenum did not work for me. It lost power and made a weird ticking, whirring sound that drove me nuts. Was so happy to go back to stock. I have had the Z-Tube and K/N drop-in filter in the stock airbox for almost a year now and couldnt be happier. The torque and throttle response is excellent and combined with the Stillen catback, this is about as good as I could expect from N/A.

But I have a new project now, my new baby just got dynoed with 146 HP. May not sound like much, but she only weighs in at 580 lbs. Runs like a scalded dog and a huge ****** attractant.
