Check timing chain w/o remove the cover ?
I wonder if I can check the timing mark on the cam sprockets without removing the front timing chain case ? I see there are 2 valve timing control covers but I'm not sure that I could see the marks on the sprockets by just removing those 2 covers.
I have an 06 MT REVUP engine.
TIA.

I have DTC P0011, P0021, P0014, P0024 on my engine. I replaced the solenoids and some of the cam and crank sensors but it still shows all 4 codes.
The engine I have in the car was from a roll-over car. I guess the timing might jump off a tooth or 2. Oil level was all good, last thing I have to check before I remove the timing cover is oil pressure. The engine starts, idles just fine but it's so sluggish and gas mileage is pretty bad too, I got around 240 miles per tank (16~17 gallons).
