Obviously a boosted G35 will take a stock G37. Now, if the G37 was boosted too......

The G37 is a really nice car but unfortunately it only marginally outperforms its predecessor. The G37 Coupe especially gained a lot of weight over the already not very light G35 Coupe. Thankfully the 350Z and 370Z maintain a respectable weight for their class.

lol this^ my g37 is at least .5 to 1 second faster than my g35 0-60. 1 to 1.5 seconds in the quarter. my g35 was a slow turd. my g37 rips through second until i get off the gas and rips third. my g35 could barely chirp second gear...both 6mt.

I was surprised too! I thought supercharged anything will just about take any car by a huge lead.

^Most supercharger builds aren't pushing a lot of torque.

Road was closed as far as I could tell. At :43 you can clearly see the lane blocked, and it gets more obvious from there.

No other cars on the road either and clearly overseas to me.

Pretty harmless. It'll slide by.

Good call though.

The Streetfire BS bit the dust though.

Thank you for the clarification. I didnt realize that putting a car at the end of the road made it less illegal.

Question though, does putting a car at the end of a road also make it safer? Remove pot holes and have a safety crew on standby like a track would?

Uh, no. It doesn't make it any more legal, regardless of what a moderator wants to justify in his head or on this board. If it's racing on public roads, it's technically illegal regardless of how organized or not it is. And having cars or people at the end of the road makes it less safe. In fact, having anyone else around in any direction regardless of the circumstances, makes it less safe.

Depending on the country it may not be illegal like it is here...there is not information enough to determine. Clearly they are not as safe as a designated track would be but calm down. No reason to have each person on this forum jump out of their socks to try and moderate the forum because "they know best".

Safety vs. legality vs. promoting street racing are all separate issues. Nice vid that shows DE superchargers can hold their own, unless it's a stillen!

Anything besides a stillen sc and the DE will blow away stock cars. Even adding FI to the newer models, the midrange torque of the DE is superior with most FI setups. On the flip side, the newer models breath much better up top with dual TB intakes and plenum design.

speeddream, you found my car! Here's another from the same day. Turbo rules!

I'm not going to disagree that the G37 is faster but even stock I could chirp
from 1st to 2nd in my 6mt G35 coupe.
Now modded I can sometimes chirp from 2nd to 3rd if I'm feelin frisky.
