LSx 383 Stroker 6.3l

Hail residents of Fapshire

I had another thread started, I deleted it because I wanted to redo it with running totals etc sorta like how Edafe/Royal T is doing his (without the beer).

So I bought my block, its a 5.3 truck block. You can find these really cheap, they are all pretty much the same architecture on any of thes chevy blocks.

Here it is when I got it. A virgin block straight from GM. Had some flash rust on it and they didnt have protocols to send to assembly so they toss them out. Dirt cheap.

Here it is after boring it out to 3.905

Cost Breakdown:

$300 - 5.3l block shipped - My hoist cost almost as much as this block! lol
$300 - Machine work to bore to 3.905

Running total : $600

For those who are looking for that nifty lift plate that makes moving around your block much easier, they can be found for around 30-50 bucks. Doesnt make a difference who its made by really.

Link for the cradle stand. Awesome for when you start having to work on the rear of the motor and not having an engine stand in the way.

Some other various stuff that I got over the past few weeks getting ready for this build.
Not listing the cost for these until I get them installed with the appropriate step of assembly..

Double roller timing chain. Got this so I should never worry about chain stretch or anything. Should last me a good while

241 casting heads, getting a new valvetrain for all this to support the other goodies

4.00 Callies compstar crank. best bang for the buck

compstar 6.125 crank h beam rated at 900hp. most aftermarket rods come with arp2000 rod bolts so you should never have to get aftermarket bolts unless you are running over 30psi or something stupid lol.

My cat Socrates in the sink

Mahle piston set that came with piston rings already. These are pretty much awesome. I likey the valve reliefs.
