V1 mirror

I saw this on ebay and think it's the sweetest thing, but looks like they only support a couple cars so far. I did email the seller and they are apparently working on a mirror for the Z that should work on the G with no modification, can't wait for this!

A neat thing, but often disregarded mod ... why? because most people already have their V1 mounted next to the rear view mirror, thus defeating the purpose. So why not move the V1? ... because radar detectors work best at the highest mountable position.

RashMan1450,

Can you explain this to me. What is the benefit of having the arrows and such in your rearview mirror if you have to mount the V1 middle or high up on the windshield anyways? Where is your V1 mounted now?

if they found a way to integrate the actualy radar detector in the mirror, then that would be great! but if it's jus' the display, then would there be two sets of arrows right next to each other anway (sayin' as to how you have to mount the damn thing up there, as THX said). i wonder how expensive that would be.....

2 things:
1. The mirror isn't auto dimming. Not a big thing, but if you've had a SUV behind you, you know the lights can be a PITA.
2. The purpose of having a remote is to keep the display from being seen by cops driving behind you. It defeats the purpose to mount the remote where everyone can see.

My opinion: nifty, for someone else's car

That would be sweet for people in states that ban detectors, like Virginia. Just hope the cop doesn't start poking around inside your car.
