Low end torque improvement recommendations

Gents,

With out going for the obvious (turbo/supercharger) I am looking to modify my G to give me more torque on the low end. What are some recommendation's to assist me with this?

Things in mind are:

Crank Pulley
Plenum
Exhaust
Chip flashing or new controller?

I already have a Z-tube and drop in but that's about it. Let me know what would be the best combo and price range. I'm game for this Feb to drop some $$$ into my ride. don't get me wrong this baby moves on the highway but I am looking for that same thrust on the lower side of the power band.

All of the above with a tune and 3.9 or 4.08 Fd. The FD you will feel the most. Where are you in jersey?

Our Level 1 Power Pack with the Optional Z1 HFC would be a great way to improve low in TQ along with some high end gains.

More info can be found HERE

A crank pulley will also give a noticeable gain in low end TQ, but as unrealistic as it is for most people (for those who DD their car) weight reduction is the best way to improve your off the line power.

Rob, I saw your Level 1 power pack. Will the HFC's throw off my check engine light? I was curious about it.

Rob,

I already have a Z tube and my car is a Revup. On another post you mentioned the angled spacer woudn't be much of an improvement. Does the pully make enough reasonable gains? Also, what would you estimate an average mechanic should charge for this type of installation for the pulley alone. How much time does a pulley installation take?

I have Art Pipes too & no CEL... Just passed inspection in MD easy as pie! More power, I wld say make sure ur filter is cleaned and oiled properly, get some HFCs or TestPipes and a Motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer. From there full performance exhaust & then an Osiris Tune to make everything run at full potential!

Your list with a tune and gears. Gears you will feel the difference more than any other mod besides FI from a stop or part throttle.

The only thing is if you decide to go FI you definitely will not have any traction in the 1st 3 gears.
