Anyone changed out their distributor cap/rotor?

Hi people, haven't posted here in a while. Does anyone have pictures for a DIY? My car is approaching 55K and I think it's time to do the dirty deed.

D, we don't have distributors. We use individual coil packs. Enjoy.

Dude, how old are you?

I don't know of a car/truck made with a Distributor/ wire set up made in the last ten years. I'm sure there is, but I don't know of one.

Old enough to remember changing the damn things out of a 87 Sentra and 93 Sentra SE-R! Now can anyone tell me where the carburator is on the G? KIDDING!

Seriously, do these coil packs ever have to be replaced?

I had a 1964 MGB in High School. I really enjoyed working on it. Good thing too, I had to change the plugs every 15K and file the points. Then you had to sync the carbs every so often. I miss it.... NOT!

Thanks for the info, they are still sparking so I guess I won't need to change anything... maybe I'll just do the plugs as they are 9 years old lol.

Texas, I was not even born yet in 1964 so unless you had one of those in high school in the past few decades - you win the age race! (One of the few times I'm glad to be on the losing end)
