most important z-tube alteration!!!

This may help some newbies & old timers alike. When you install your z-tube with a new air filter, you may not notice that it is dangerously close to an air conditioning line, which when rubbed by the metal clamp will rupture!!! don't forget to try to hold clamp & tube away from this line when tightening bolts, also for added peace of mind, install some type of rubber or plastic cover over air conditioning line to help prevent problems.

I know this has been talked about before, but I never hurts to be repeated.

Good point and thanks for the reminder.
Some have found out the hard (expensive) way that the clamp will chafe away at that A/C line and eventually wear thru.

if u have just the z-tube and stock air box, then i dont think u need to worry about the rubbing.

*edit: but i did anyway just in case after i saw that big post.
