Oil consumption tsb with mods?

So my cars going into Oakville Infiniti for the oil consumption test. Its out of warranty but the used car dealership I bought it at has lifetime powertrain warranty. I basically just want the papers from Infiniti confirming it so the dealership doesn't try to screw me around.

Question is I have mods. Suspension/wheels I'm assuming shouldn't matter but I have a custom magnaflow muffler welded on and a z-tube. The tube I'm also assuming shouldn't matter as its an OEM part but what do you think about the muffler? Should I take it off before I go to the dealership I purchased the car and just leave it on while Infiniti performs the test?

On a side note for the Canadians Guelph Infiniti is a joke. They wanted to charge me an hour labour (114) everytime they check the oil (3 times). I called Oakville and they laughed at Guelphs prices, said they would charge half hour the first time and the checkups would all be free.

Personally, I wouldn't give the dealer any reason to disqualify you...just sayin'...

Are you talking in regards to Infiniti or the dealer I purchased the car from?

If it's just the muffler I'd say play it safe and take it off.
I know in the states that the dealership would need to prove that breather mods caused the oc issue, which can't be proven.
Don't know about canadian laws.
I didn't take any of my breather mods off when I had my shortblock replaced, just got lucky with a really cool dealership.

Just checked and laws are pretty much the same, the mod must be proven to have caused it. The only problem is my muffler is now welded to my midpipe, so i need a midpipe as well as muffler.

My test is in 2 days and I'm having a hard time finding a stock midpipe and muffler. So what Im planning is leaving it for the test then when I take it back to the dealer I purchased at, I'll return it to stock. Im just wondering do you think the Infiniti dealership will care? They're not losing anything as I told them the situation, I just want the papers saying it is burning oil. Im assuming they won't care about the exhaust as I'm just paying them to confirm the consumption and thats it.

I would tend to agree with you.
The dealership prob won't care about the mods especially since it's not gonna be on their dime.
