Exclamation Best aftermarket clutch?

The dealership wants me to unload 2500 dollars for new clutch. Yeah not happening.

What's a good low cost clutch kit I can buy?

I found this OEM replacement online..
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...E52504010.html

Or this..
http://www.importpartspro.com/jwthdclco03i.html

Thanks! I greatly appreciate it.

Also if anyone in north jersey would like to install or know a good place let me know!

Edit: they say I need new plate, disc, throwout bearing..and flywheel.

replacement clutch

i have the same issue as well, and have been trying to find my options. I'm not sure about going with a generic brand as far as reliability. my v36 is a daily driver and i wouldn't be needing any kind of track spec parts.....at least not yet lol what are some of your opinions guys?

You may not want to go for the JWT because of the lightweight flywheel. Research "flywheel chatter" and decide for yourself.

Id recommend an Exedy aftermarket clutch because it's the same as OEM. I cant comment on the chromoly flywheel because I dont have any experience with it.

This is the cheapest Ive seen the Exedy clutch:
http://www.clutchcityonline.com/infiniti_g35.htm

Ask around and see if you can find a shop to resurface your dual-mass flywheel. It may be salvageable, saving you a ton of money.

Any aftermarket clutch will require a new flywheel, Exedy is not exempt from this. I'm not 100% certain about the rest, but since Exedy is the closest thing to factory that we can get and it requires an aftermarket flywheel, I'd assume they all would.

With that said, I use Exedy myself.

Wrong.

Exedy specifically notes in the product description that they're clutches can use the original dual mass flywheel.

Definitely wrong. I have an aftermarket clutch with stock flywheels.

There's several places to check, I'd begin with our MARKETPLACE under vendor classified. Try www.infinitiparts.com see what they charge. Then all you need is a quality trans shop to install it, you don't need to get screwed by the stealership!

Bought and installed the Z1 Motorsports Flywheel and clutch myself. Simple job that took a weekend and a couple 12 packs. Friends tend to get bored and have ADD and do other ****. Plus i stopped to jump in the Gf's pool. lol

I have 3k in 2 months (been driving for work) and i can say its probably the best clutch ive ever bought. Chatter is a little louder then stock, but who cares. get an exhaust and you wont hear it anymore. Can barely hear it with stock exhaust

I went with the JWT clutch pack over a year ago and I have never regretted it. It DOES work you left leg pretty good, but it will last the life of the car if you are not a drag racer.

How much did you pay for installation? How well would it hold up to 380rwhp/360rwtq turbo g, considering relatively easy driving/shifting...not drag racing everyday.

I paid a little less than $800 for the clutch pack (Light weight flywheel, PP, clutch disc, TO bearing, SS clutch line, and pivot sleeve) and it cost me $400 to install. The specs say it will handle up to 450HP.

From the website: http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/cus...asp?PartID=454

350Z / G35 HIGH CLAMPING FORCE CLUTCH SET. 1200KG clamping force and a smooth organic disc makes this the best choice for street / track 350Z-G35 including boosted cars! This clutch set also works on some other JWT specific flywheels.
I got a MUCH better clutch pack than stock and it was $1000 less than the stealership.

Importpartspro.com had the best price, and service.

Looks like it all adds up to about $890 bux, Ask Kyle for the G35Driver.com discount.
