Car won't accelerate smoothly..

Hey guys,

So yeah, whenever I gas hard from 0 this is what happens:

I have no idea why my car does that. When I bought it 8 months ago it didn't do this. I actually don't know when since I rarely push my car. Never did any engine mods, except Sean's grounding kit and his ECU reset if that counts. I removed it myself but didn't solve anything. Didn't even feel any difference as a matter of fact. Asked my mechanic and he has no clue either says it might've been that the ECU was resetted incorrectly. .

This only happens when I accelerate hard, otherwise it's normal:

Or when I start at a speed it doesn't do that either when i gas hard:

Anybody have any idea what this problem is?!? Any input will be greatly appreaciated. THanks!!

EDIT: Car is '05 5AT Coupe if that matters...

I'm no expert, but it appears that your tranny is slipping. Thats why your seeing the rpms jump like that, and your car is not acclerating as it should. Have you had the trans serviced? I would check your trans fluid level, it could be low.

Got a friend with a cipher cable by chance?

Dirty MAF? Clogged cats? Fouled plugs? Any smoking when that happens? Tdc on?

At 128k miles- putting your foot into it loads up a bunch of different systems that may need servicing or replacing... I'm not a car guy but I was having a major cut out while hard accelerating and it turned out to be a leak in my intake piping. Granted- I probably have a bit more plumbing than you do- but might be worth checking if you knocked or bumped something off or forgot to retighten something. Or you have some debris in the MAF area...

Have no idea what half the things you said are.. Other than this, my car runs really smooth when I drive normally

I guess my best bet is to take it to the dealer and have them drain my wallet sigh..

sounds like a VDC or some kinda traction control, but the light doesnt come on when you do it. has it only happened ever since you put the grounding kit on and reset your ecu?

That's what I assumed, but it was a while ago.
