the hks suction kit is a short ram intake system that uses the high flow filter with aproximatly a 6" inlet to the intake tube. i have seen the the intake on a 350z and it sounded awsome, but i didn't get a ride in it.

You will be getting warm engine air into the filter. Consider that our cars have a true cold air intake as stock. Z-tube is only improvement after a K&N filter when keeping car's stock air induction.

Didn't HKS place last in that translated japanese magazine filtration test (one where Apexi came out on top)? Just something to keep in mind...

Apexi was the cleanest.

The HKS filters are racing filters. They're meant to keep bugs and sticks out.

I have always found this comparison on filters, especially HKS filters very interestin. Independent testing? I don't know. But still something to consider. Check it out before you buy!
