Re: HELP!! I NEED MORE POWER!

Just have to be patient. Still do not know how the existing ECU will handle the additional air flow, additional fuel is going to be required with both. Adding a turbo or supecharger is more difficult than it sounds, which I am sure you know. The NISMO/Stillen unit is kind of iffy, meaning with that supercharger you are limited in how much boost you can run, look at what is happening with the Cobras when those guys change the pulley. Ford had to stop production, 'cause the superchargers were burning up and a turbo unless done right will give you just as much problems.
Saw a neat little supercharger today at the auto show, it was installed on a BMW by a local performance shop. R&D cost will be prohibitive right now, unless you can find someone to work with you.

Re: HELP!! I NEED MORE POWER!

The Power Enterprise turbo kits will be available soon 1st quarter of 2003. We will start taking orders after the first of the year. Go to my website for pricing and a few sneak peaks.

Re: HELP!! I NEED MORE POWER!

Merlin, that isn't why Cobra's were held up. They have the same supercharger as the Lightning, and we Lightning guys have been running as much as 18psi of boost without the supercharger coming apart. The stock rods don't much like that amount of power though.

There isn't any concrete evidence as to the cause of production stoppage on the Cobra's, but it appears to be engine failure due to manufacturing defects.

Re: HELP!! I NEED MORE POWER!

TRY JIM WOLFE TECHNOLOGIES. he is know for his work on nissan ecu's and cat back exhausts. the vq in the g is the same as the maxima and altima, just with a few tweaks to it. he would be the one to talk to about upgrades...the 3.5 has been in the max for a while now, so he may already have something in the works...prob have to do some minor adj to make it work for the g. good luck.

Re: HELP!! I NEED MORE POWER!

I've dealt with both Jm Wofk and Stillen and must say the parts from Power Enterprise are better engineered and higher quality. I've been very impressed with their MRS turbo kits and their 300Z TT and WRX turbo upgrade kits. I haven't found any bolt on kits that offered as much power and have been as reliable anywhere else. Their twin turbo kit will be out soon and we'll have our hands on the first one to test. Full stainless steel ball bearing turbos BTW. Not the cheap turbonetics turbos that most companies use on their kits.

Re: HELP!! I NEED MORE POWER!

Since the kits are in development, I don't have final parts list yet but it will keep your stock cats in place for use in all 50 States. There will be a small kit good for 400+ HP and a larger kit which will be for the serious guys who want to run over 600 HP. They will both be bolt on kits and full ball bearing with internal wastegates. Here are some sneak peak photos.

Lightning,
Thanks for the update, got some bad info. Hopefully they sort it out and I can put the Cobra back on my list when my truck lease is done.

Re: HELP!! I NEED MORE POWER!

You can come over and I'll install it in a day no problem. If I come to you it gets VERY expensive.
