I spend nearly all weekend getting my car from barely cranking over to:

I replaced the thermostat (it had overheated a bit)
new spark plugs
new cam and crank sensors (almost did the trick.)

The precipitating event was the car had overheated. We pulled immediately over and shut everything off.

ANY thoughts or suggestions as to what is going on and what I need to do to fix it.
