Release bearing question

Has anyone actually done their own clutch change? I am in the process now and ran into a problem. I took out the old bearing and it was a koyo with the part number rct4000sa. The one i got is from z1motorsports and is also koyo but the number is rctrpsa3. They claim its what they use and that it works. So i pressed out the clutch fork mount but im not sure how far i need to press it in to the new one. Since it is about 1/4 inch taller and is shaped different. Right now i have it flush on the inside of the new bearing but it could be pressed in more. I will try and attach some pic. Since my problem is hard to explain.

it should be pressed in as far as it will go without damaging the bearing
