One plug had oil, consuming alot of oil..

So this weekend I pulled the plugs (78k miles on an 04 Automatic coupe) and noticed while I was pulling one plug out, the one on the passenger side, closest to the windshield had a few drops of oil come off the spark plug socket as I pulled the spark plug out, about 3 or 4 drops of oil to be more precise. The plug next to it just seemed to have some oil on it, nothing that got on the socket and the other 4 plugs were all fine, just used.

I am also consuming a lot of oil.. (not sure how much but will be closely monitoring it now). I just did a filter and oil change tonight and dropped 5 qts of synthetic so I will check in 500 miles and see where it stands.

Do you think the oil on the plug and oil consumption being high are related? Any cause for alarm? (I read some threads that said the gasket could be going, others said they had oil on one plug and when they rechecked after putting in a new plug, they didn't).

Not sure what to make of this or if the two are related?
