Circuit Sports Direct Ignition Bolt-On Adds 10+ RWHP??
Hello All,
Was surfing the website at the Nismoshop.com and came across the "Circuit Sports Direct Ignition System DIS Amplifier", which they advertise as being good for a bolt-on 10+ RWHP/Torque. They claim to accomplish this using your stock coil packs and increasing the constant voltage from 12.5 volts to 16 volts, for $270.95 plus S & H.
This is the actual advertising verbage:
Circuit Sports Plug and Play (PNP) Direct Ignition System (DIS) amplifier for the 350z, 370z, G35, and G37. The Stock ignition amp works around 12-12.5V, while the CS ignition amp provides true plug and play solution to bridge between the stock ignition harness by using your stock OEM coilpacks to bump up the voltage up to 16.5V safely.
Because of this, the DIS will increase the torque and hp throughout the entire RPM range regardless of your setup. The DIS is dyno proven to achieve 10+ rwhp and torque.
I did a search for the product here before I posted this inquiry, but found nothing. Anybody have any experience with this product ?
Thanks,
DB

I appreciate the responses so far, and of course I can "Google it", but I was curious to see if any members of this site have any experience with the product I mentioned?
10+ RWHP/Torque seems a bit much, so wanted "real world" feedback from anyone who has used this product to improve their cars performance (or NOT improve their performance).
Again, all feedback appreciated guys/gals.
Regards,
DB

This sounds like the old MSD modules, the ones that would create multiple sparks per ignition and increase power that way. They worked, but all my experience with them was with a distributor style ignition system.
A lot of negative feedback out there about this product, but some positive as well, so it sounds like a gamble IMO. The concept makes sense to me though.
