G35 Radiator Fans turn on after 5-6 miles

Hey, so I took out the crossover hose and capped both ends, ever since then for some reason my radiator fans turn on after driving a little while (not hard driving), about 5-6 miles and they stay on till I turn the car off. I think I can hear them while i'm driving too (hard to tell with the exhaust). The temp display is a bit under the half mark. I don't think there's any air in the coolant because the car would overheat then which it isn't doing. Anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

I am a bit low on coolant but I'm going to be adding some more soon, I want to buy that Lisle funnel so that I don't get air in the system while adding the coolant. Could low coolant trigger both fans to turn on?

your car is probably running hot due to low coolant (yes, this can cause your fans to run constantly). definitely get the Lisle funnel and bleed your coolant system.

I just bled the system not that long ago because I got air in it so I'll just add some more (my coolant overflow is pretty much empty lol). I'm gonna get my OBDII and read what temp the coolant is at tomorrow. Both fans turn on at 220F right?

if your overflow runs empty then you're drawing air into your coolant system.

the fans kick on low at 208F and high at 212F.

It still has a layer of it at the bottom which I can see, good to know, I'll add more asap. When I took out that crossover hose I spilled some coolant and I guess it was enough to make my car a bit hotter and trigger both fans.
