First service

I own a 2005 G35 and I am about to get my first dealer service at 3700 miles. I do not have the manual in front of me, but the dealer and manual both mentioned a service option choice at the first service. I think it was chosing the premium pack or basic and involved synthetic or regular oil.

Any advice on the difference, benefits, cost.....

Thanks!!!

I just had my first at a little under 3500 mi. The dealer didn't ask which service and I just had the oil and filter for $40 (with a loaner car for the day-another G35x-and a complimentary wash and vacuum).

I haven't decided about synthetic yet, but have been using it in our 3 year old Subaru Outback 3.0. Any thoughts on synthetic?

It all depends on you. I went in after 3 months (I only had 1900 miles) and the dealer said that it wasnt necessary as the car was still new and less than 2k miles. I told them I didnt care and I had them do the expensive one.

It depends on how much you love ur G, but yeah normal one is basically the same only that for the premium they check the pipes and other things in the engine. Ask them what does the Premium involve.
