oil pressure light

hey guys have a quick question?
i have an 05 coupe with 109xxx KM.
recenty i have started seeing that when i start up my car the oil pressure light flickers for a slight second and then turns off. it doesnt do it all the time. and the light has never came on and stayed on or flickerd while driving.

so i ended up getting a new sending unit from infiniti, and i also picked up a oil pressure gauge. i installed it all up using a tee off the oem hole in the block.

so when i leave he car sitting for around 14 or more hours (cold start) the pressure gauge reads around 90psi, after the car is fully warmed up and at idle the gauge reads around 17-20. and at around 2000rpm the guage reads around 46 psi.

i have found the values that are in the FSM in regards to ideal oil pressure values and it seems like the car and gauge read all the write values.

i have checked to see if the tee connection is dripping any oil and it has not left any spots.

so im not to sure whats happening with the oil light flicker?? any ideas?
i have check my oil level just in case and its slightly below H on the dip by well within the proper range.

any ideas???

thanks in advance

It is normal to see the oil pressure light come on briefly during start up. It is a self test that the ECU goes through to make sure all sensors are working. If it comes on after the initial 3 seconds or so, then you need to check oil level first. If oil level is fine but pressure light is still on, then its likely a blocked passage or an oil pump that is dying (not common).

For now, I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

Ya it hasnt come on after the initial start to where its on for min or so. Its a slight flicker once in awhile only on startup. The flicker is probably no longer then 3 seconds like you stated. Do you think it might be a better idea to run the OEM sender back off the block and get a filter plate for just the aftermarket sender. I'm just wondering if the OEM sender is slightly delayed since if off the tee. But I mean pressure is pressure it should pressurize the oil gallery and tee at the same time correct?
