Changed Spark Plugs, Lost Power
Not necessarily down the drain. You go back there and demand your money back or have them do the job correctly! Fug that noise!
No, just once. Sorry for any confusion. When I took the car in it ran fine but when I drove it away with the new plugs I noticed immediately that something was not right. Drove it for 2-3 days, took it back and complained. They made sure everything looked OK and declared that there was nothing they could do. They suggested that I had a bad tank of gas even though it was the same tank of gas that I drove in with. I'm stumped and bummed cuz I've lost my "rocket sled" as I like(d) to call it.

Anyway, you need to go back and DEMAND a refund
Yeah, don't pussyfoot around with them. They don't care about no BBB. Threaten to take a **** on their doorstep every morning til its fixed.
Well it was all too good to be true. As it turns out, the plugs they installed are compatible. I'm convinced of that. So, back to square one. I have a car that I used to love driving, now I can't stand the sight of it. Anybody know how to turn back time so I can have my car back to optimal running condition? I think at this point that is my only hope. Thanks for all the input.
Unless I missed the info somewhere whilst reading but I would try a whole new set of plugs just to isolate that it IS or IS NOT the spark plugs. Bad gas is a rare issues but not unheard of. If pulling spark plugs is difficult, then oscilloscope your plug wires to see if one or more is not producing proper voltage. It can also show you if it's a coil pack.
Some "old school" methods still work for our computerized "rocket sleds". Best of luck finding a solution.

Thanks Junkie. I've been to an Infiniti dealer and their inspection consisted of a test drive and a computer scan. They found nothing wrong during the test drive and their computer didn't reveal any codes. I asked the mechanic to forget what the computer said and instead concentrate on the symptoms I conveyed to him and he just shook his head and told me to come back when and if the "check engine" light comes on. I don't buy what the computer said and they never drove the car before the issue arose so I'm convinced that there is something amiss that only an old-fashioned mechanic can figure out. Trouble is they are few and far between now days and my skills end at checking the tire pressure and oil level. Thanks again for your input.
