question about plastic undertrays

when i installed my hotchkis bars i had to remove some plastic undertrays to get to the front sway bar. it leaves alot of stuff in the open like my oil filter and sway bar. is it okay to leave it off? my car sounds a bit nicer and i was wondering if i could leave it like that

The undertray is an aerodynamic body part! It also help keep your $35K
car's engine clean. Why would you want to toss it?
