Manual mode in automatic

This probably has been asked before and I couldn't find it. But is it bad or hard on the tranny of driving in "manual mode" on the automatics????

My friends auto tranny has 200km on it and had 0 issues so far. He likes to use manual mode for spirited driving only.
Depends on when you're shifting and how much gas you put in too. You should be fine though

Thanks for the quick response!! Yea I'm at 118k miles. And I do the same only do it when I'm driving "sporty" but that seems to be a daily thing. Havnt had any issues yet but I just got the car about 2 weeks ago.

Manual mode is identical to auto mode. Your power, gear ratios, shift times, tc, ect are all unchanged. Really the only difference is you send the signal to the tranny instead of a sensor.
