Engine Noise (Video available)

I have a 2004.5 G35 sedan with sport pack I bought last summer with 143k on it.

Everything has been great, I drive her hard but I keep up maintenance also. Only mods

are Z tube, K&N filter, wide tires on the sport 17", drilled and slotted rotors, and coupe

mid pipe. I do a oil change every 3-4k with 4qts 10w-30 and 1qt Lucas oil stabilizer with

Mobile1 filter. My friend is a Infinity service manager and he is my go to guy for

questions. He has checked the engine with a microphone tool and can't tell where it's

coming from exactly. Just that's it's from the passenger side. So I turn to the

community to try and help me out. I have gotten no CEL or have had no performance

issues. You can only hear it when at a stop or at idle, nothing while running the car.

I've searched but none of the results have anything in form of video or sound

clips to help that are still usable as the post are so old. Thx ahead of time.

Never mind found the problem, me and my infinity mechanic figured it out with some of his fancy listening tools. Now that the noise has gotten louder we found out that my passenger side CAT is bad. The inside of the CAT is falling apart and rattling inside. I will just put my test pipes back on and deal with the dirt bike sound till I get some HF CATs.
