Most important fluids to take care of at 65kmiles?
Hi guys,
I bought my car at 54k miles, and it's got 65k miles. I've done regular oil changes with full synthetic, and I had an infiniti dealership do the full 60k tune up (at 61k) and they didn't seem to do a very good job.
My rear differential had lots of shavings in it (replaced my rear diff pushing with Whiteline), and they used non-synthetic motor oil. The coolant is also discolored. I have found a reliable mechanic for Infiniti finally and I have this question for you guys:
I wanted to do a full fluid flush / fill for all of my fluids but simply put I can't afford to do EVERYTHING all at once. I wanted to start off by doing 3 of them next week. Obviously, I don't need the oil changed yet, and my coolant is DEFINITELY 1 of the 3 things.
What do you think are 2 other priorities that I should take care of?
Power steering fluid? Trans fluid? Diff fluid? I was going to get my brake fluid replaced when I get my brakes changed somewhat soon so that's going to be taken care of separately.

Coolant, trans, diff (basically the powertrain)
Follow up with power steering, brake fluid, and clutch fluid if 6MT.
Make sure to use the proper trans fluid for your transmission type, Nissans are very sensitive in that regard.

With the clutch/trans fluids are they worth doing if I'm going to get my clutch replaced somewhat soon? It seems like the previous owner of the car did a poor clutch job because it feels like there's something in there. There's resistance in the clutch pedal that makes it harder to do smooth starts/shifts

Sounds like the previous owner beat the snot out of the car if the clutch was replaced before you bought it with only 54k miles. If you're going to replace the clutch, you can do the fluid then.

Yea, the used car dealership I bought it from said they replaced the clutch after they bought it and before selling it, but clearly they didn't do it well. After driving for awhile the clutch pedal gets really hard, like there's some kind of obstruction in the way. My mechanic thinks they didn't put it back together correctly. It functions, but I'm still going to replace it in a few months. I'm definitely not going to leave it like this for another 40-50k miles.
