Engine swap question g35

I recently bought a 04 coupe auto trans with a blown motor. I have a 05 coupe auto trans thats in bad shape but the engine and trans are working and was wondering if everything is plug and play to swap over? I did a little research but wanted to make sure before i start tearing the car down.

'05 should be a rev-up motor so that might complicate things.

Should be able to swap right over. Some sensors might be a little different so you'll need to move them over from the old engine. That rev-up comment doesn't apply since you have an auto trans vehicle, those engines were 6MT only.

When did they start putting the rev-up motors in the 5AT cars?

They never did that... OP has two cars with 5ATs. They came out with the rev up motor in 05, only 6mt came with rev up motors, not the 5ATs...

I thought at some point you could get the rev-up with an automatic or did they skip it and go directly to the HR?
