camshaft bearing bolt

camshaft bearing bolt

i snapped my bolt after trying to torque it down. does anyone know if these bearing bolts are torque to yeild or not ?

The camshaft bolts themselves no, but those little washers on the front end big bearing bracket that catches both intake and exhaust cams YES.
Did you follow all the steps for the torque pattern and make sure you were torquing in INCH lbs? It didn't feel even remotely close to breaking bolts last time I was putting cams on a VQ, those bolts don't even get 10ft/lbs but there's a long sequence of torque pattern for them in the FSM in the EM section from what I remember.

yes i followed the torque spec in the manual and order but i guess the torque wrench i used might be off.
