06 VQ35 Revup VTC cover leak

Hey guys, it has been a very long time since I posted here back in my S14 days lol
Anyways, I really need some help on my 06 G35 Revup VTC cover leak pictured below, After cleaning it up I have put in new gasket still had the small leak, then went around it with Red RTV still has that small leak where it is circled in the picture.
I even changed the ring seal inside the cover that is recommended by factory, I'm at lost here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Navigate to the appropriate sub-forum, hit the "New thread" button, and type a descriptive title for your new thread (not just "I need help"). Also most of the issues on these cars have been covered over the past 20+ years, spending several minutes with the search feature might get you what you're looking for.

I’m not much help here but it’s a very odd place to leak from, good luck figuring that one out.

That leak looks like it was caused by hammering on the metal near that seated ball. You can see some kind of impact marks on the corner above it which likely deformed the metal just slightly which is causing that leak.

I would JB Weld the thing shut.

My thought exactly, I applied some regular JB weld and it still leaked a bit, got some jb high temp epoxy putty and slapped it on yesterday, hopefully that does it.

Since it's really accessible you could also have a local metal fab shop hit it with a TIG welder.
