Motordyne Spacer - on '05 and/or x models

Anyone added the spacer to an '05 yet ?
and has anyone added the spacer to a G35x too ?

If so, I am curious to know how the mod felt on these vehicles since it seems that most people who have installed the spacer have a Coupe.

Also, I have an 05 X and was wondering if anything has changed in the 05'
plenum that would perhaps render this mod's results unnoticed.

Thanks in advance!

I have a 3/8" in my '05 coupe which is an AT so the same engine as your X

It was easy, smooth, and a great mod

I agree with robb and sickone, just installed mine on my 05 this evening. a quick test drive gave noticable results

I've got an '05 6MT...still waiting to get past break-in to install my 3/8" spacer. I have to admit I'm a little wary since the updated collectors in the 6MT already increase airflow.

hey robb,

got the 3/8 yesterday and could not wait till the weekend to install so I got home from work, opened the hood to let everything cool for an hour or so and then began the 'slow but steady install'. I noticed that after tightening all the bolts in the listed order, I went back and hand snugged the 6 centers again and they did have about a half turn in them. following your advice I plan on leaving my engine cover off for a few days and carry my socket driver in the car to check the 6 center bolts. since I did not have a second set of hands I propped the plenum open with a flashlight at a 45 degree angle, gave me plenty of room to clean inside etc. and when I needed to slip the spacer/gasket in I just lifted the flashlight enough to slide the spacer under. worked great.
