The best quality Z tube would be from a...Z. Its an oem part and you can't complain much with that. I've installed the K&N panel filter, and its been working great so far. Not sure if its much different in terms of power gain than the stock filter. The Z tube definately adds a great rumble at full throttle.

I think that Ultimate Tuning makes a carbon fiber one and someone else makes them in aluminum. I'd stick with the oem because of the price though unless you are really concerned about your engine looking pretty.

OEM all the way. I'm digging my K&N filter as well. Maybe not a big HP mod, but the sound is nice.

Go with the OEM. The Carbon Fiber one does not give the same "roar". It is more subdued.

I agree, 350Z OEM IntakeTube with a K&N drop in filter. I have had mine for over a year. Easy install, factory part, perfect fit!

Will a K&N panel filter from a '96 Maxima work? I saw on Ebay that the g35 filter also works on the I30, that's why I'm asking as I have a spare for my Max. Also, do I need to disconnect the battery or anything before installing to avoid a CEL? Thanks for your replies in advance!

Is it possible to install the NISMO Z tube along with a JWT pop charger instead of an OEM Z tube and a JWT pop charger? I have the pop charger and was planning on getting the Z tube. Thanks.

Dentalstud-
You don't have to reset the ecu, you should not get a CEL.
Dunno about the Maxima thing, you'd have to check the part numbers.

JKashat-
Yes you can run a OEM Z tube with a pop charger.
I don't know what a Nismo Z tube is, there is a Nismo CAI, but there wouldn't be any reason to use the pop charger with it as it comes with it's own filter.

What's the best place to get an OEM Z Tube, pop charger, and K&N filter?

Also, does anyone sell it in a set...that would be ideal (for me anyways)

i got mine from everythingg35.com......you can get them from a lot of different site, you can even get them from a nissan dealership, best place to get a k&n filter is a discount auto store i think..and i'm not sure if anyone sells it in a set.

keep in mind that if you buy a popcharger, you will not need a K&N filter.
