squealing UR pulley

Got the blue annodized UR pulley put on about two months ago. Not long after the damn thing started squealing when started cold. Only squeals for 1 minute or less at startup and only when cold.

Got it checked out and they said nothing wrong. Belt is on correctly and adjusted. Put on the gates belt that came with the pulley.

My theory is that the dew collects or something like that and the annodized metal lets the belt slip.

Anybody else have this problem? I scuffed the pulley today with sandpaper and we'll see. It's driving me nuts.

It's not the pulley , it's the belt.
Even though "they checked it", the belt prolley isn't tightened to spec.
Loose belts will make a noise when cold. If you don't use a gauge , tension is guess work. The device I use to get in spec repeatable tension is the
" Krikit-2".

The install instructions say to re-adjust the belts after 100 miles. This usually just involves tightening the belts as already indicated.

Just tighten the belt fractionally more and see where that gets you. What's the belt deflection spec on these cars?

yep - I can assure you it is loose belt(s) tighten them a tad, most likely it is the forward belt that runs the alt/powre steering
